2024 Kiwanis Great Holiday Burn-Off

The Great Holiday Burn-Off is Glenwood Springs Kiwanis’ annual active movement virtual contest to support programs for kids in our communities.  This year funds will go to Early Literacy programs Valley Settlement and Raising A Reader.  Both programs provide books and literacy experiences to pre-K kids from Aspen to Parachute.  All registration fees will go to these programs.

The Contest:  This year the contest will run from Jan. 1 – 28.Designed for all levels of ability and fitness, this virtual contest is based on exercise time and any activity counts: walking, skiing, biking, swimming, gym workouts, yoga, etc. Track your time and report total time weekly, using Strava or email.  Details provided after registration. 

The Prizes:  A minimum of 10 prizes will be presented.   Top prize is 2 nights lodging in Moab.  Additional prizes include gift cards, services, and merchandise donated by Kiwanis members and local businesses.

The Winners:  Based on total exercise time reported during the contest, the top 3 will receive the top 3 prizes.  Remaining prizes will be given by drawing with all participants eligible.

After registering you will receive an email within 24 hours confirming your registration and with details on reporting your progress during the contest. By registering, as this is a virtual contest, you assume all responsibility for any injury sustained while participating.
